Galileo appoints Francesco Dolzani as Managing Director for Italy

Zurich and Milan, 8 July 2026 – Galileo, the pan-European renewable energy developer and independent power producer (IPP), has appointed Francesco Dolzani as Managing Director for Italy.

Francesco joined Galileo in 2021 as Business Development Director. Working alongside a highly skilled and dedicated local team, he has built Galileo’s Italian development organisation and led the origination and advancement of an increasingly mature, diversified pipeline exceeding 3 GW in the country, spanning solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), onshore wind and offshore wind projects.

Under his leadership, Galileo has secured either planning consent or Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) clearance for more than 1.5 GW of projects in Italy. The company has also brought its first Italian solar plants into operation and expects construction to commence on more than 150 MW of fully consented projects by the first half of 2027.
