Galileo adds further 135 MW of grid-secured projects in Spain, taking total grid-secured portfolio to 825 MW

Zurich and Madrid, 14 October 2026 – Galileo has added a further 135 MW of grid-secured projects in Spain, taking its total grid-secured portfolio to 825 MW, comprising 500 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS), 200 MW of onshore wind and 125 MW of hybrid solar PV.

This additional capacity strengthens Galileo’s portfolio in one of Europe’s most rapidly evolving markets, where renewable generation growth has driven demand for flexible and reliable power.

Galileo is also making rapid progress in advancing its 500 MW BESS portfolio. The company has recently obtained Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approvals, known in Spain as the Declaración de Impacto Ambiental (DIA), for a further 75 MW, bringing the total of projects with EIA approval to 215 MW.
